The Art of Assassin's Creed III

The Art of Assassin's Creed IIII haven’t had a chance to really sink my teeth into Assassin’s Creed III yet, but it seems there’s a little conjecture over whether it’s a step forwards or a step backwards for the series.

Which is an argument for reviews. Fine Art is all about the pretty stuff, and I doubt you’ll find many objections to how slick the game’s concept art is.

The images below, of which I’m pretty sure a few haven’t been seen before, are all from Ubisoft’s team, and like pretty much everything else ever publicly released from ACIII’s vaults will be included in the game’s official art book, which unlike the last big Assassin’s Creed book is focusing purely on concept and production images.

As an aside, apologies for the lack of Fine Art posts last week while we were slumming it on Kotumblr. I know it’s some people’s favourite part of the night’s content here (it’s definitely my favourite one to put together), but it just wasn’t coming together nicely with the limited tools we had on-hand. Now we’re back, though, it’s back to business. Thanks for your patience!

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!
