Resident Evil's Best Bosses

The Resident Evil franchise is full of epic boss battles – and hopefully the forthcoming Resident Evil 6 will only continue this tradition of evil excellence. But as we wait to get our hands on the latest installment (set to hit store shelves on October 2), join as we look back at some of the greatest and most memorable boss fights in RE history.

Load up on ammo and proceed with caution. Also, beware of spoilers. These are boss fights, after all. If you don’t want to see those… maybe don’t watch the videos.

One of the most iconic faces of the Resident Evil franchise, Albert Wesker has had a bigger impact on the series’ lore and its villains than just about any other character. The climactic confrontation with the ‘Man in Black’ in Resident Evil 5 didn’t quite live up to his grand stature for a number of reasons, but the fact that players were finally throwing down with the biggest baddie in RE history is a big, big deal. We might roll our eyes when thinking about battling in an active volcano, but the fact that we did it is certainly noteworthy.
