Rainbow 6: Patriots Could Move to Next Gen

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot says Rainbow 6: Patriots could be for next-generation consoles. In an interview with Polygon, Guillemot commented “there’s a good chance it can be” when asked about the game being pushed to next-gen, also commenting that “we have a good team working on it, and it’s really looking good, so when it will come, it will surprise the industry.”

Guillemot’s responses echo comments given to IGN by Ubisoft’s Tony Key during E3. Key said “Rainbow 6 is still in active development but what we decided was that the best thing for the brand was to not bring it to the show right now. We have a lot of other games that we want to focus people on and there will be more information on Rainbow coming.” At the time, Key also commented that “this is the only generation that I know about” when asked about the title potentially being delayed.
