Fan Fiction Friday: Sherlock Holmes in "A Bitter Message"

You’ll forgive me if today’s FFF is a bit brief — or maybe you won’t forgive me. I don’t really care. I’m still recovering from dealing with that Lorax fic for two weeks straight. Anyways, today’s non-masterpiece was sent in by Topless Roboteer Renorae, and was written by a lad or lass named StarkRogers. As the author’s name implies, this story is — shockingly — not about the terrifyingly fic fic’ced Benedict Cumberbatch, but the recent incredibly mediocre movies starring Robert Downey Jr. as an American action hero somehow masquerading as England’s most brilliant detective (note: I am a pretty solid Sherlock Holmes fan, and I did not care for the first film). This isn’t going to be as bad as last week’s FFF, but by no means is it good. Blackwood swirls a wine glass filled with a golden, warm liquid. Holmes shudders, looking at the glass. His clothing is soaked from the waist down, urine tricking down his calves. Just minutes before a bucket had been pulled out from beneath him and from it a faceless brute had filled the wine glass, wiping it clean before settling it into the black-gloved hands of Lord Blackwood.

“Open his mouth.”
