Epic Creates New Unreal Engine 4 Studio

Epic has opened a new studio that will focus on Unreal Engine 4 development. Based in Seattle, the new studio “will be initially focused on engineering efforts” for Unreal Engine 4 and is currently recruiting developers, which Epic is hiring through its official site.

Listings currently open include programmers for animation systems, audio tools, online servers, java, rendering, tools and more. Candidates “will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining core systems of Unreal Engine 4,” enhancing rendering pipelines and more as Epic builds “the premier game engine for a multitude of platforms.”

“The proximity to key partners, the density of world-class talent and all the factors that make Seattle an attractive place to live convinced us that it is the perfect locale for Epic’s West Coast operation,” said Epic Games president Dr. Michael Capps. “We are looking to hire even more of the best engineers around to contribute to Unreal Engine 4, which we believe is set to change the way we all make games.”
