Another day, another .5 benjamins. Dolla dolla… sigh. I’m white and uninterested in frontin.’

Productivity until writing this: 95%

Accomplished today:

1.  Newsletter for Membership completed.  Discussed new online banking/billpay features, online loan applications and online new membership signup.  Also discussed paperless initiative, our new payday-lender alternative (those places should all be closed… 514%!!!), our new automated phone system.

2. The day started with five separate requests for information, which I had to do research on.  Those are all done, as well.  This core processing conversion is definitely a handful.  I can see why people don’t talk well of the experience.  I have to say so far it’s nothing ridiculous, it’s just a lot of thinking about what you want to accomplish and some futureproofing.  The two weeks without a day off is going to be a tad annoying tho.

3. Conference call with our examiner.  I LOVE our examiner.  Not many financial institutions say that.  But I do.  She’s the bestest ever; whenever we need level-headed forward thinking, we set up a call.

4. Pre-conversion training guides printed and in reading position.  Now to do the classes.  Lots of them.

5. Troubleshot the CEO’s OpenOffice (she couldn’t find the agenda wizard).

6. Hit the pharmacy for more meds.  I wish someone would surgically remove my sinuses and I wake up in a bathtub with all I can eat ice cream.

7.  Installed OpenX Adserver.  This is the 5% non-productive, I still don’t know exactly how it works, what it does, but that’s the fun in finding out.  Since I know most ads are paid like 25 cents per million, I expect to never earn twenty five cents LOL.

8. Board meeting tomorrow.  Helping CEO prepare for that.

Since I revamped all the rest of the site, the whole front end is getting a makeover as well, I just started it at 2am last night.  It’s delicious, and not the half-assed job the front page is now.  I should finish sometime in the next month, I think.  Hopefully before, but I’m padding my timetable.

I’ve also picked up another web client, so the files for that should start rolling in, and that will eat up a good chunk of my free time.

I also picked up the audiobook version of the latest Wheel of Time book.  I figure this way I can’t stop working, sleeping, eating because there is nothing to read.  I have to listen to it, and that pretty much means the ten minutes a day back and forth to work.  I should finish in July LOL.  I have to say that so far, the new author is indistinguishable from Jordan.  That’s a plus, in my book..er..audiobook.  Apparently the completed scenes, sketched out stuff and notes from Jordan were so immensive to finish out the series, that had they published it, it would have been around 2400-3000 pages.  Instead they opted to split the last ‘book’ into three parts.  I’m expecting them annually, from how far the new author said he was in the foreward in July.  I am excited, to say the least.  Damn Eric getting me hooked on this on book five during college!  I’ll post a full review whenever I finish it, probably Q2 of 2011.  Look for more full reviews going up now that this version of the site is live.
