#5 – Drangleic Castle Ladder/Bonfire
When you are heading up the stairs in Drangleic Castle towards the dual kneeling statue trying to get past the archer firing at you from below, you just missed it — a ladder that leads down to the ledge to get at the archer. (You can also run and jump off the stairs at your own peril). Once you’ve dispatched of the archer, look carefully at the wall facing the base of the staircase, and you’ll notice there is a panel with no moulding on the bottom. Press X/A depending on your system of choice, and an illusory wall pops open revealing a secret bonfire.
