No Cross-Buy for MLB 13: The Show

There was debate a few months ago as to whether or not MLB 13: The Show would be a cross-buy game — meaning that purchasing the PS3 copy would get you the Vita copy for no extra charge. Today, Sony ended the conversation.

“MLB 13: The Show is not a part of the cross-buy program,” read a statement from PlayStation to IGN, “however various retailers will be offering different bundled promotions similar to what was offered with last year’s MLB 12: The Show.”

Last year, MLB 12: The Show was the first cross-play title, meaning players could take their season from the PlayStation Vita to the PlayStation 3 and vice versa. That functionality will be back this year, but you’ll need to buy both game separately to use it.
