Metro: Last Light Won't Ship With Multiplayer

Developer 4A has placed a planned multiplayer mode for Metro: Last Light on hold. A small squad of developers had been working on various multiplayer prototypes for the post-apocalyptic shooter, but the group was folded back into the studio’s single-player team after E3 to focus on the story side of the Metro 2033 sequel.

“It was probably a mistake to announce it when we did,” 4A stated on the Metro website. “Right now we’re 100% focused on the single player campaign and not thinking beyond that. We don’t like throwing away work though, it’s a project we could potentially return to after Metro: Last Light ships.”
