If The Exorcist Had Been An 80s Sitcom…

It’s almost Halloween, which means it’s time to break out our ironic re-cuts of famous horror films and make them seem different than they actually were! I enjoyed this recut by Film School Rejects, though, mostly because it doesn’t just use happy images; it also uses some disturbing ones.

And hey, while we’re here, let’s watch the king of goofy recuts, the Shining one. Heh. I used to really dislike Kubrick’s The Shining (I was always partial to King’s novel), but I’ve softened on it. It’s a pretty cool horror flick.

Got any good horror movie plans for this weekend? Have you seen The Exorcist lately, and do you agree that it is definitely one of the scariest movies ever made? And more broadly, hey, let’s do it: What’s your favorite horror movie?

Feel free to discuss freaky stuff, Halloween, or whatever else, here or over in the Talk Amongst Yourselves forum. Have good chatting, and please: I need a young priest and an old priest. Can someone help me out with that?
