F1 2012 Release Date Announced

Codemasters has announced that F1 2012 will hit stores on September 18th in North America and September 21st in Europe. F1 2012 will also offer new features such as the Young Driver’s Test, which Codemasters says will “teach players the nuances of Formula One racing.”

“The aim for the 2012 game is to make more of a complete Formula One experience,” said creative director Stephen Hood. “The Young Driver’s Test gives those up and coming drivers track time to showcase their talents and it’s wonderful that we are able to copy the elements that happen on those real Young Driver Test sessions in the game.”

F1 2012 will offer tutorials for each track narrated by former Formula One driver Anthony Davidson. The game will offer “extensive competitive and co-operative multiplayer components” and includes all official Formula One teams, drivers and circuits, including the debut of the 2012 Forumula One US Grand Prix in Austin, TX and Germany’s Hockenheim circuit.
