Dragon Age 3 Shifts to Next-Gen, Aiming for 2014

Dragon Age III: Inquisition is headed to next-generation consoles. According to the LinkedIn resume of EA Shanghai level designer Tao Gu, the “scope of the DAIII has been chaged

” and it will now “target next gen platform

and will be postpone

to 2014.”

Gu lists his work on Dragon Age III as having taken place between March 2012 and September 2012, noting that he was the lead level designer for the EA Shanghai team and “in charge of concent

and layout design from paper to engine for vertical slice.”

Dragon Age III was officially announced back in September, targeted at the time for “late 2013.” No specific platforms were mentioned, causing speculation even then that the game would be headed to next-gen platforms.
