A Random array of stuff

So in the thread of being too busy to actually do anything of substance, we will just machine gun through several:

Apparently improperly installed remote starts will engage your car’s anti theft in the computer brain. Who knew? (and no I didn’t do the install) At least I will know in the future what to look for.

Bought Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces for the Wii. Haven’t seen the anime, so I’m not sure how it ties, but it is pretty good so far. not sure if I will stick it out with the motion controls though. They are a little imprecise for a flight combat game.

Trajectile on DSi Ware is awesome.

If anyone stopped watching Dollhouse ’cause you thought you were getting the weaksauce ending, get those episodes and start watching. Holy Crow Batman! (I do have to reiterate that I was right ;))

Started the “Fate of the Jedi” storyline. Pretty good if you are into Star Wars stuff.

The Boys have bounced games again and are now playing Robot Alchemic Drive (RAD), which is an OOOOOLLLLLLLLDDDDDDD PS2 game. The voice acting, localization and everything like that is horrible. The story is actually pretty good at its core. The highlight of the game is supposed to be the mech and the control schema. It is pretty interesting. The machines are sluggish, more like they might really be. The human animations are horrible. Overall the quality of the game is meh – but a fairly interesting, if poorly told, story and giant robot on robot action keeps them entertained.

Wizard 101 is a really nice entry level mmo. Kid friendly with chat controls. A bajillion quests. Dungeons that require (at least at early levels) team play, while that majority can be done as a solo affair. There is quite a bit you can do for free, and the subscription is not bad. The combat system can be a little cheap, and is incredibly slow since it is turn based, but that is good for younger players too.

Watched all of Season 1 of legend of the Seeker. Fairly good show. Kinda like this era’s Hercules, but slightly less cheesy.

My daughter is addicted to Voltron. The lion one. The only real Voltron, at least as far as the US is concerned.

The Eigenharp.  Holy Crow.  I stumbled across this flipping through the channels the other night.

Guess that will do it for now.
