Enemy Front

Release Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2014
Enemy Front brings World War II devotees a gripping FPS experience with advanced visuals and a richly interactive combat sandbox gameplay experience. The game gives the player full freedom to own their playing style: run & gun, stealth, subterfuge — all are viable approaches to win this battle.
Against the visceral backdrop of breathtaking European locales, the player takes on the role of American war correspondent Robert Hawkins, as he fights — and covers — iconic missions from anti-Nazi Resistance operations in France, Nazi Germany, Norway, and Warsaw throughout WW2.

1001 Spikes – Xbox One Version

Release Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2014
This insanely difficult adventure already made its debut on most platforms last week, but it’s also rolling out to Xbox One tomorrow.
From our Review: Are you impatient? Easily frustrated? 1001 Spikes is not for you. An uncompromisingly difficult throwback to 8-bit platformers, 1001 Spikes looks like an NES game and feels like being repeatedly kicked in the teeth. As Indiana Jones-alike Aban Hawkins, you’ve got 1,001 lives to spend delving through an ancient, trap-filled temple – and you’ll likely need every last one of them (and more) if you plan to make it to the end. It’s a trip worth taking, as the retro aesthetic hides a huge assortment of inventive challenges made more fun and interesting by the precision it takes to overcome them – but it’s a brutal one.

Space Run

Release Date: Friday, June 13, 2014
Space Run is a nod to ’80s science fiction and pays homage to many of its tropes and references. The year is 2525. You are captain Buck Mann, the most fearless, the most daredevil and the most broke of all the pilots in the galaxy! Your new job: you are a Space Runner, one of the space haulage contractors whose job is to transport valuable cargo from one end of the galaxy to the other… and one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Not only do the cosmic highways regularly pass through asteroid belts of all sizes, but they are also used by dangerous and unscrupulous pirates armed to the teeth, whose fighters and battle cruisers will make short work of your transport vessel if you’re totally unprepared. And finally, you will also encounter other galactic “drivers” with whom you are fiercely competitive, so take this opportunity to give them a friendly blast from your turbo lasers when you overtake them!

Non-Stop

Release Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2014
From our Review: Thanks to the demand for TV procedurals, a good ol’ fashioned movie mystery is hard to come by. But that doesn’t mean people in Hollywood aren’t trying; Non-Stop is what might happen if Agatha Christie was forced to pen her own version of Taken (which, in itself, would be a fun movie).

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

Release Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2014
From our Review of the First Episode: Seth MacFarlane and Neil deGrasse Tyson present a unique and riveting glimpse at our universe in Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey. Embracing science and all it has to offer, the docu-series is unapologetic in its somewhat controversial depiction of organized religion, but it extends an olive branch for creative thinking and plays with concepts of faith in its whimsical view of the macrocosm.

Be sure to check back at the beginning of every week for a round-up of the week’s hottest game and movie releases.
