Developer Harmonix announced today that a handful of well-known composers — including C418 (Minecraft) and Danny Baranowsky (Super Meat Boy, Canabalt) — are creating new tracks for the Amplitude reboot.
In the final days of the Kickstarter campaign for Amplitude, Harmonix revealed a group of composers contributing original songs to the planned PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 title. Along with C418 and Baranowsky, Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim Saves the World), Kasson Crooker (FreQuency, Amplitude, Symbion Project), Jim Guthrie (Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP), and Freezepop (FreQuency, Amplitude) are contributing to Amplitude.

“We’re thrilled to be able to collaborate with these incredible artists who have proven themselves more than capable of delivering amazing tracks and setting the tone for some of our favorite games,” said Amplitude creative lead Ryan Lesser.
IGN talked with Harmonix about the Amplitude reboot earlier this month, with the developer mentioning how the project started off as a simple instant message. Harmonix has a goal of $775,000 USD to fund the rhythm-action music game.
