EA Sports has released the first screenshot for the forthcoming Madden NFL 15.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his distinctive bicep tattoos are featured.
It’s the first time that EA has featured players’ tattoos in its games. Reproducing tattoos in-game can be tricky, as the copyright is held by the tattoo artist; THQ previously faced a lawsuit over the recreation of UFC fighter Carlos Condit’s stomach tattoo.
In the case of this screenshot, though, SportsBusiness writer Eric Fisher reveals that Kaepernick sought a waiver from his tattoo artist to get the design in-game.

Madden NFL 15 is due for release on August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe. It will release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. With this new entry in the series, EA promises the “most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history.”
