“What about Singularity?”

Earlier this week Greg and Brian sat down and talked about 5 awesome video game alternate timelines. They mentioned Wolfenstein: New Order, BioShock, Fallout 3, Resistance 1 & 2, and Assassin’s Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington.

With over 20 years of video games, there were tons of other alternate video game timelines we could have talked about. Naturally, the IGN community sounded off in the comment section of the video and told us what we missed.

Crimson Skies

IGN User: BrianCode – One of my favorite alternate history lines is Crimson Skies and Crimson Skies High Road to Revenge. Takes place in the ’30s the highway system in the USA has been destroyed and people take to the skies in airplanes and Zeppelins leading to the birth of sky pirates. And the USA is not longer one country the various regions form their own independent countries.

Destroy All Humans

IGN User: D-Bane12 –
How about Destroy All Humans, that game series takes places from the 50s-70s and it was giving a alternate of what the culture was like in those era. I don’t want to go into much detail but aside from the whole thing where in the first game a alien clone secretly took over the US; the second game, like Resistance, did a version of the Tunguska event, where it was actually a alienship containing the last of a race of crab-like aliens that later on formed the USSR.

Metal Gear Solid

IGN User: Angelk1ng – Good choices but I am just stunned that you didn’t include Metal Gear here….I mean….its Metal Gear….

Singularity

IGN User: Bigmac_PHK – I’m going to speak on behalf of Colin. You guys forgot the great game singularity.

IGN User: Texcube – Singularity is the most underrated game ever. Sadly it’s one of the best games from the last generation that nobody played.
IGN User: Oab008 – What about Singularity? That game has a really interesting timeline.
