Will You Try XCOM: Enemy Unknown?
In an era when so many games cluster around a limited selection of genres, it’s refreshing to see a blockbuster turn-based strategy game coming to console. This is a genre well-catered for on PC, and with a healthy pedigree in Japanese console games, but in the West it’s been sorely neglected.
Is there a good reason for this? Are console gamers happy with traditional action-RPGs and shooters? If you’re stuck in a rut of first and third-person combat simulations, it might be time to try something that moves at a different pace.
