From Xbox One to PlayStation 4, It's Your Full E3 Day One Roundup

The mother load of E3 news roundups. Day one.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is a whirlwind of news incoming from all angles and lasting for an entire week. Tons of new games are announced, new tech and release dates are revealed—it’s hard to keep up.
Today, E3 kicked off it’s first set of conferences. We saw big announcements from Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony. Four major game companies with an entire year’s worth of content to tease and we squeezed it all into two short-ish videos. Below you’ll see a written rundown of some of the announcements and two Daily Fix episodes (it was needed) loaded with everything from the show.

Microsoft had a stellar conference feature nothing but games, many of which were first looks. Rise of the Tomb Raider was no exception. Slated for Holiday 2015 Crystal Dynamics revealed a teaser featuring Lara in therapy and then back to her adventurous ways raiding tombs and looking like a badass.
Halo 5: Guardians got a beta announcement for December and then the recently rumored Halo: The Master Chief Collection got confirmed. It’ll come packing Halo 1,2,3, and 4 remastered in 1080p HD with the inclusion of the Halo Nightfall Digital Series. That should keep us ‘til Halo 5 officially releases, right?
Microsoft debuted gameplay footage for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. They also announced that the Xbox One version would have exclusive DLC for the game. Set in the near future it seems Activision believes swarms of drones are a weapon we may some day encounter. Scary! The trailer was a definite show stopper.
Insomniac Games gives Sunset Overdrive a brand new gameplay demo and a hilarious new trailer that very cleverly breaks the fourth wall. The game hits Xbox One on October 28, and features an 8-player online co-op mode called “Chaos Mode”. Looks like a blast!
Mass Effect first intel breached the premises! EA’s conference unveiled a brief tease at the universe building in progress with more conceptual prototypes of different planets. We saw a new hero character (pre-sumed to be human) as well exploring unfamiliar areas. Not much else, but it will keep me satisfied…for now.

Ubisoft kicked off their conference with a full Far Cry 4 demo featuring the first 5 minutes of the game where our still unnamed villain made his debut. Sony gave us a better look at gameplay in their conference, however, showcasing Ajay’s abilities moving from vehicle to vehicle taking out enemies and gliding in various ways around the world. In proper Far Cry fashion guns were on full display.
Sony held their conference complete with the return of my two most adored franchises: Batman Arkham Knight and Uncharted 4. Batman Arkham Knight got a gameplay trailer (finally!) showcasing the immense Gotham skyline and Batmobile in full tank mode. Not to mention an extravagant introduction to our main villain, Scarecrow.
To end off the entire day of conferences Sony saved the best for last. Nathan Drake is back and looking more HD than ever! Whether that is for better or worse we’ll hopefully soon find out. For now I’m just happy Naughty Dog started the Uncharted 4 hype train on the right foot: with a powerful in-game trailer featuring our beloved hero.
