Finally finished Dollhouse
So seeing as all gaming equipment is completely packed, and after I run out of juice/enthusiasm for the packing, taping, hauling from here to over there ritual, all that’s currently left is my compy hooked up to my 50″ tv with my bose computer speakers. So I’ve been watching a lot of stuff I hadn’t gotten around to yet.
So one of the shows I had watched all the way through was Dollhouse, save the last episode and the ‘lost’ Season 1, episode 13 episode. I decided I had better watch the last episode first (thank god I did, it would have made NO sense to me whatsoever otherwise), and then ‘Epitath 2’. There were a few inconsistencies since Epitath 1 and 2 were obviously made at the end of series one and maybe they hadn’t expected a renewal for season 2, but nonetheless I liked it.
Wheadon did a good job painting himself into the corner he had set up using the entirety of season 2 as the paint.
What bugged the daylights out of me was one person:
or a better pic of her here, with Felicia Day:
It was driving me so nuts, because she looked SO familiar… I finished the episode/series, and was pretty happy with the outcome of the storylines, but I went to sleep thinking about where I had seen her.
Then it hit me!
She’s the super-hot groupie from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog!
Sad to come to find out she’s also Jeb Wheadon’s wife. Lucky guy. But anyways, I digress.
I very much enjoyed the series, and found how they wrapped it up to be acceptable. Although we’ll probably never see anything in spin-offs or other mediums (it’s really not Firefly popular), I think other than the first five episodes of the first season, this is a worthwhile show you should check out.
I give it seven out of ten imprints in my brain. (7/10)
I really enjoyed the series, and honestly those starting eps didn’t even bother me. I really like what he was able to do with the time he had, and produced some damn fine eps. The show wrapped up nicely and even left some hooks for resurrection or tie in form other media. I’m wondering if Joss’s next project is just going to be planned as a 1 or 2 season beast. I honestly wonder if without the pressure the show would have remained as good and kept from getting tired or going up in smoke like Dark Angel. Anyway, glad to hear you finally got through it.
