China's Unlicensed World of Warcraft/Starcraft Theme Park

A Blizzard-sponsored theme park probably sounds like pure joy to many of you, hence why this one is called “World Joyland.” The only catch is that it’s in Changzhou, China, and isn’t licensed by Blizzard at all; like so many Chinese pop-cultural simulacra, it’s a knock-off, based on the very familiar but legally totally different (and imaginary) games called “Terrain of Magic” and “Universe of Starship.” Still, with ride names like “Splash of Monster Blood” and “Sky Scrapper,” it can’t be all bad. And you probably won’t get lead poisoning. Shanghaiist has a ton more photos that you need to see.

It’s all a whole lot safer-looking than North Korea’s attempt at a fun park.
